We are an energetic team of volunteers who work non stop to save the lives of surrendered, abandoned and stray rabbits and guinea pigs. Our main goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome, and educate. To rehome as many rabbits and guinea pigs as possible and educate the community on best practices regarding animal welfare.
Romeo’s Rabbit Rescue, a nonprofit organization, was founded in March 2019 by Andrea Whyte. A local rescue had closed leaving behind 30 rabbits. It was then that Andrea put together a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers to help. Starting off with 30 rabbits, a “foster care – home based” rabbit and guinea pig rescue was started. Today Romeo's Rabbit Rescue is the largest rabbit rescue in Western Australia with a mission to "rescue rehabilitate rehome educate".
We strive to work together as a strong and supportive team to rescue rabbits and guinea pigs in need and to educate the community on the best ways to care for rabbits and guinea pigs, so they are healthy and live wonderful and happy lives.
